Community Work Party

JOIN OUR NEXT COMMUNITY WORK PARTY

Join us as we gather in solidarity to ensure that Ummah Farms becomes a thriving Black-owned enterprise and community space. We have gathered at different times as separate communities - to plan, to socialize and to vision. We have had opportunities to dialogue as a BIPOC community and as allied communities. This Sunday, we will continue our collective work with allies from across the state who are committed to building and growing with us.

We will be preparing the barn for winter usage by installing insulation and wall boards under the direction of skilled carpenters. If you do not wish to work and would prefer to join in community, feel free to hang out in the main house during the work period or stop by at 3:15 p.m.

We will be joined by our allies from Cumberland County Food Security Council, Land in Common, Possibility Alliance, It is Time, Maine Black Community and Economic Development, Midcoast Reparations Collective, and Midcoast SURGE.
