ECO-BIPOC Retreat

The ECO-BIPOC Retreat at the Viles Arboretum is a time and place to connect with other BIPOC folks working in Maine's environmental sector and related fields.  Our current network includes individuals working in agriculture, conservation, climate change and outdoor recreation.  Individuals who are not currently employed in the sector but interested in working or volunteering in a related field are encouraged to attend.

The day will entail a self-guided or group exploration of the arboretum, lunch, and a group discussion to understand the needs of each other and determine the short and long-term direction of our network mission and scope.  The retreat will take place both indoors and outdoors.

We welcome interest and partnerships with other groups and organizations.  However, this retreat is an intentional effort to support the engagement of BIPOC communities only.
