2nd Annual Juneteenth Community Celebration

The Third Place invites you to our 2nd Annual Juneteenth Community Celebration – Progress and Evolution. This gathering will be an informal outing on the Eastern Promenade to acknowledge the collective hopes, dreams, and aspirations of ourselves and our people.

You will be treated to a meal from Alabama Barbecue - Maine’s only authentic Alabama-style barbecue courtesy of owner Vincent Oden. You can find out more about Alabama BBQ at https://alabamasbbq.com.

Following lunch, we will provide time for participants to make offerings of poetry, prayer, song, or reflection. Our theme for this year’s gathering is Progress and Evolution. Offerings to support this theme are welcome but not required.

If you plan to attend, you must RSVP using the following link 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration

All invited guests may bring one additional person. Meals will only be provided for invitees and their plus one (if you require an exception, please inquire at info@thethirdplace.me). RSVPs must be received before 12 noon on Thursday, June 17th. RSVP early.

Participation limited to 25 . This event post is only a notification. Remember to RSVP through Eventbrite.
