The Women's Leadership Alliance (WLA) is a bi-monthly meetup of Black women who lead across various sectors and disciplines. WLA embraces women who are business and civic leaders, entrepreneurs, educational leaders and other key decision-makers.

WLA meetups are relaxed gatherings designed to address the social and professional needs of Black women in a fun and engaging format. Every meetup is different allowing opportunities for women to engage with a cross-section of issues faced by Black women in leadership positions.

THIS OCTOBER

We are meeting with Rhona Deah, owner and manager of Rhona Beauty located at 289 Main Street, Biddeford. Rhona Beauty LLC was founded in 2020 and offers various services including hair braiding, dreadlocs, micro links, beaded extensions, cuts and colors, brows and lash extensions etc.

We will learn about Rhona's entrepreneurial journey and discuss available resources to support women in business and leadership. Additionally, we will brainstorm a plan for creating broader community engagement to support the business. A portion of the meetup will be reserved for discussing group needs.

Lunch will be provided from a BIPOC-owned restaurant from the Biddeford/Saco area.
